K-3 Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Educator
The Lisbon School Department is seeking a highly qualified certified K-5 educator with a passion for cultivating Social Emotional Competence in students. This position focuses on students grades K through third, with opportunities to collaborate with fourth and fifth grade populations. The successful candidate will possess knowledge and experience in SEL instruction and classroom-based trauma-informed practices, demonstrate the ability to cultivate a program focused on student demonstration of SEL competencies , the ability to establish positive relationships with students, the ability to establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a supportive learning environment, the ability to effectively work with small groups and individuals as needed and to work in collaboration with the grades 4-5 SEL educator as well as communicate regularly with grades K-3 classroom teachers to ensure that SEL is a prominent tenet of the larger school program. There may be other school related tasks requested by Administration for the efficient and effective operation of the building.
Certification Requirements: State of Maine 075 or 020 certification and CHRC.
